Stores we distribute to (except Google Play) do not currently allow us or our artists to edit artist profiles (such as bios, pictures and store reviews). This information is automatically ingested from data providers live Rovi (now Tivo) and All Music Guide. Rovi provides stores with written content like reviews and biographies, tagged metadata like Genres, Styles, Moods, Themes and Similar Artists, as well as information about credits, album covers, sound clips, music videos and a ton of other good stuff. Providing your product to Rovi or AllMusic is the best way to get your information on stores.
How can you have your information added to the Rovi database?
You can mail Rovi one copy of the product along with any relevant promotional materials, such as artist bios and press releases, and email a single message containing artist and release images (in JPEG format and at least 300 pixels wide) and other promotional materials using the addresses below. Rovi adds products and other materials to their databases at their discretion. By submitting products and other materials to Rovi, you acknowledge and agree that those products and materials will not be returned to you, will become the property of Rovi upon receipt and may be used by Rovi at its discretion. If there is an incorrect bio (ex: it is describing a completely different artist or release) in the stores that is not for your release, The Record Pool can have them remove it. All you need to do is contact us from your helpdesk link in the dashboard, and give us your username and the name of the release and the details.
